I have been here for 5 months

I have been here for 5 months. My baby’s 6 months and my room mate’s wife is 9 months pregnant. They are trying to break our families. When there’s fast track, there’s no justice. My wife has mental health problems. There’s no one to look after my child.

I just wanted to say

I just wanted to say that I am here since late 2014 and I have a father in this country and he is british, I wanted to be with him, he want me to be with him as well and I am just 18 years old thats it.

50 people are not eating food

50 people are not eating food in Tinsley House. Everyone is outside in the garden talking and discussing. The problem is that people have been in detention for more than 8 months. They have applied for asylum, put on fast track. In detention, no one can defend their case. They are not giving medication, there are health issues – they are not treating them properly.

I’ve been asking for treatment.

I am in detention and I am a mental health patient and they arrested me and put me here. I’ve been asking for treatment. I’m not eating for 7 days because I want to a mental health treatment. I tried to commit suicide the day before yesterday. They put me the cell. I have been tortured in the past. At night they came and spoke to me and put me in an observation room – locked room, light on and can’t sleep.I started hitting my head against the door and it was so powerful. Nothing happened after, they refuse any medical treatment and put me in the cell. I remember them verbally abusing me. I don’t remember why I was beating my head but if you put me in this situation I will start to beat my head.

I’m in Morton Hall detention centre

I’m in Morton Hall detention centre. Today others are not going for food. People are shouting. There are so many campaigns. They treat us like animals, this is animal kingdom. People are on strike. They have gather outside and are gather me especially. The security are shouting at them. They say why are you gathering here we will talk to you but
they don’t care about anything. There is no law and order in this country. The Home Office doesn’t care about anything.
[Shouting of ‘we want freedom, we want freedom’ in the background.]

I wanted to print the Channel four news coverage

I wanted to print the Channel four news coverage of hunger strike and detention centre conditions. I wanted to print it out and the wing officer said that the print out was not allowed. I said all the United Kingdom knows, so why are you not letting us know. So why can’t we know. This detention centre is horrible to be honest.

It could be about 6 months.

It could be about 6 months. We have not got any information about how long it takes. We have applied for bail and have been refused. How can we stay here? It’s not fair. The time we have spent here right now – we should get compensation if the court decides for us. If we are spending the time here so they can decide about be. They have more power than me. We should be released while we wait for the decision. If you do a public offence then you can only be detained for 24 hours. Why can they detain us for the whole time? I’m losing my mental health every morning. I came here in December and there is already too much time. There is no signal at this centre – this a big problem for us.

At Morton Hall

At Morton Hall more one hundred people are in the grounds. They are not eating in the morning. Everything is closed. They want to talk to UKBA and we want to sort out our problems. People are  going crazy here – some people here for 2 or 3 years . I’ve been here three months – totally rubbish.
